YOU ARE EXTREME/A dislocated language talks about the parlance used in queer manifestos between 1980-1990 in relation to neo nazi manifestos from today. The political party Sverigedemokraterna have succeeded to normalize racism and violence by adjusting their appearance and language. They push the contemporary political discourse to the right and open a path for a new wave of neo nazism in Sweden. When reading Queer Nation Manifesto (1990) and The Overhauling of Straight America (1987) you find similarities in the rhetorics of queer activists in history and right-wing extremists of today. In neo nazi Nordic Resistance Movement’s political party program (2015) they position themselves as a marginalized group and seemingly copy strategies historically used by LGBTQIA+ communities.
