KARIN KEISU AND JOSSE THURESSON KARIN KEISU AND JOSSE THURESSON

Biography

Karin Keisu (b.1995, Sweden) and Josse Thuresson (b.1992, Sweden) work collaboratively both artistically and curatorially with a practice that favours instances of learning, temporal dissolution and poetic interruption. They address systems of power and socio-political environments, partially focusing on the queer ballroom and drag scene, queer temporality studies, as well as language and parlance. By using make-up beyond assigned gender stereotypes as an additional aspect of the work, they strive to embody a critique towards binary ideals both within queer- and hetero communities.
